One of the first things you'd notice about Denki is how friendly and laid-back the boy is. He's not afraid to be one of the first to reach out to strangers and greet them, and though he's just as serious as becoming as hero as anyone else in his class-- he's also glad to make friends with people who would one day become his rivals. He loves it when the class does normal, school festivities because it means there's more time for them all to just kick back and have some fun and he's always seen smiling about something. He's not afraid to be nice to even the rowdiest members of his class as well, Bakugo being the first to come to mind or even with Shinso, a member of a different class who stated he wasn't interested in being friends to begin with before being on a team with Denki during a combat exercise. Despite Shinso's scary declaration, Denki was quick to tell him that he liked him.
Though if someone shows their nastier sides to him he'll be less inclined to continue to try to be friends afterwards.
If you need someone who'll always have your back, look no further than Denki. With a cooperativeness that is 5/5, Denki is someone who's extremely trustworthy and loyal to anyone he considers a friend. He's more than willing to put himself in front of them if he feels like they need his help, and he'll push himself way past his own limits for the sake of his comrades, often using his Quirk past the point where his body normally allows it in order to protect those he cares about. But, the moment his allies are either off the field or able to be cut off from the ground where his electricity will spark through, it's like a switch has been hit. He's calm and collected, able to fight wholeheartedly without being scared of how big his enemies are-- his extreme confidence in his Quirk helps him keep his nerves and he's often targeted by enemies because of how dangerous he can truly be.

His brain has been electrocuted too many times and he often falls flat when it comes to thinking up strategies or tactics before a battle. He looks for openings, and is extremely good at improvising even in the toughest of situations. Though he has helped Mineta with "crashing" a pool party that the girls were having at the school ("crashing" meaning asking if they could also use the pool so they could see the girls in cute bikinis, without realizing that the other boys would all come along and turn it into training) he's not the kind of person who's only interested in girls because of how attractive they are. He just.. thinks girls are cute and wants to see them being cute just like any of your other average teenage boys.
He doesn't quite have his priorities straight, just yet.

If he pushes himself and uses watts over the limit his body can handle, he'll temporarily fry his brain as well and becomes a bumbling idiot for a little while after words. Only able to say things like "wheeey!" and give a thumbs up to let everyone know he's okay. Because of that fallback, Denki's not quite as sharp as the other members of his class even on a basic level. He got the lowest scores in their midterms, and struggles with putting down an answer to every question on a test. He looks at an algebra equation as if it's an entirely different language, and he's really damn bad at strategizing for combat.
The main flaw to Denki's personality is that he can be quite careless in all sorts of situations. It comes from how laid-back he is, and it it usually manifests itself the worst during situations where he has to fight. Though he's definitely shown it in social situations, and has said a few insensitive things without thinking. Like calling someone named "The Hero-Killer" who paralyzed one of his classmate's brother "cool" because of a video he saw of him on the internet right in front of said classmate. And he's outright said that Bakugo's personality was "crap stewed in garbage" without even worrying about the fact that Bakugo is a violent, easily set off kind of person and could have beat the shit out of him for saying that to his face.

Sometimes they work out, but a lot of the time he can get himself into more trouble than what he was in to begin with.
He usually has to have his ass saved by his friends after using his Quirk past it's limit and becoming a huge idiot, though with the addition of a weapon that allows him to shoot a straight beam of electricity and not hurt those around him he's gotten a bit better at controlling his Quirk and using it practically. But because he's so used to having to hesitate, he still tends to wait around too long for his friends to think of a plan or figure out a way for him to use his Quirk for him. And the moment things start going south he'll mentally think to himself "well, at least we tried." and will need his friends to assure him not to give up just yet.
Denki's a person who's really interested in being popular, and presenting himself in a cool way. He uses snappy terms that he'll make up on the spot, "hero-hopeful" being one of them and dresses fashionably when he goes out. He'll use fancy hand gestures when he wants to say something that makes him sound cool, and he'll take any chance he has to show off his stuff. He asked his classmate to teach him guitar for a school festival because he thinks playing an instrument is cool, and because the guitar usually ends up being the main focus of a band. And he gets extremely flustered when people point out if he's done something embarrassing, or point out if something he likes looks lame or stupid. He's also the kind of person who'd go off about how "you can't help falling in love with me, can you?" after he's managed to do something impressive.
